20 February 2020

Moussa Diao gives a new direction to Oryx Energies.

At its head since last year, the manager wants to strengthen its infrastructures, consolidate its positions in the LPG sector and extend its network of service stations. Appointed in February 2019, Moussa Diao took the time to prepare the roadmap for the group's next 3 years.

The new head of the group has toured his teams to assess the activities of Oryx Energies: Trading (5 billion dollars in 2019) and Storage and Distribution carried out by its 24 subsidiaries (2 billion dollars) present in 17 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. It was only at the end of November that the geographical and sector priorities were validated by the Board of Directors. "This maturation phase was necessary to gather ideas and suggestions from our managers and employees, particularly in Africa."

Its new and ambitious strategic plan provides for $250 million of investment over 3 years and hundreds of recruitments in the countries identified as priorities. "These are countries where the prospects are good and the teams are strong enough to carry out development projects."
