Oryx Energies wins Gold for advertising campaign

We are pleased to announce that Oryx Energies’ pan-African advertising campaign won the Gold Award for the “Best implementation of a brand development project across multiple markets”, at the ceremony of the Transform Awards Europe 2015 in London on April 21.

The annual Transform Awards are one of Europe's largest and most prestigious celebrations of corporate positioning and branding, recognising that the corporate brand has become one of the most valuable assets a business owns.

The judges described the Oryx Energies campaign as an “Amazing case that delivers well thought-through execution,” and praised the “Excellent use of very simple slogans to get the message across.” The campaign also won Silver for the “Best use of a visual property”, where the judges praised the visual identity for “Responding to the multicultural and regional challenge” and for being “Simply beautiful overall”.

Oryx Energies was represented by AOG’s Ioana Condacci, Group Chief Legal Officer, and Karen Saddler, Group Chief Communication Officer, who is also leading the campaign. The agency partners who are an integral part of the success were also present at the event: Lucas Brands (brand strategy), Handsome Brands (creative agency) and AG Partners Africa (implementation and coordination).

Oryx Energies launched its first-ever pan-African advertising campaign in September 2014, spanning TV, radio, billboards, press and the web in selected national markets, as well as pan-African TV and radio stations. It aims to help position Oryx Energies as the preferred energy brand on the continent, under the strapline “Oryx Energies. With you every day.” On a national level, the campaign is being deployed gradually with the aim of covering 12 local markets.
